  I brought my wedding ring from this store and after 18 months from our wedding day I dropped the ring (from waist height) When I picked it up, a diamond and a piece of the white gold band had snapped Off completely! I took it to the store for a quote (which costs £25) and they have quoted and extortionate £419 to repair! I said to the lady in the store I wouldn't have expected it to have broken after 18 months after all it's my wedding ring and I was told 'things aren't made to last forever'! I can appreciate that but 18 months!!! Anyway I have asked for my ring back so I can get a secondary quote and emailed them a week ago to find out when I can collect it and no one has responded to my email. Very disappointing and upsetting as this is my wedding ring and means a lot to me. I chose goldsmiths as expected good quality but unfortunately this has not been the case and their customer service reflects the same poor quality.
